The Opera House is a fashionable venue for meetings and events within Windhoek's architectural dream The Village, an urban oasis where nature meets the city.
The Opera House fits 100 people (subject to setup type) and is the ideal venue for big meetings or events.
The Opera House, at 18 Liliencron Street, Eros, Windhoek, Namibia, is open and bookable (subject to availability) 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday ) between 07:00 and 23:00 and closed on Sundays (for the weekly Sunday Market).
All rates for The Opera House include fast fiber Wi-Fi, tables, chairs, air conditioning, a projector, podium, sound - PA system with 1 corded microphone, lighting (Stage & LED) and a movable stage.
2 wireless microphones are available at an extra cost of N$250/each. Setup is not included but is available at an hourly cost. Refreshment and catering options are available from The Village Garden. Rates for the Opera House are valid from 01/06/22 - 01/06/23.

Terms & Conditions
The Village Garden is open for booking of events from Monday to Saturday, between 08:00 and 23:00. Special holiday hours are to be communicated.
Working Time:

Kindly note that we offer 3 respective slots for bookings. A morning session, afternoon session and evening session.

Multiple session bookings are available upon request.

As you make your booking, please keep your set-up time and packing up time in consideration.

Please note that you are required to vacate the venue by the end of your session. This includes the time needed to pack up all belongings.
Setup Time:

N$250 per hour to be charged for set up at a maximum 2 hours prior.
Extended Time:
-
Our facilities close at 22:00, should you need extra time we go only until 00:00 maximum and it is charged at N$500 per extra hour or part thereof. Any booking going beyond 00:00 will incur penalties.

Quotations:

A quote doesn't confirm booking.

A quote is only valid for 3 days.

Kindly accept the quote online or via email.

To confirm booking, 50% non-refundable deposit (see cancellation policy for more details) should be paid and the remainder 24 hours before the booking, failing this the booking is deemed to be void. Any extras to be paid on the day of the booking.

Alternatively, a signed quote as acceptance and Purchase Order to be sent via email to confirm booking.
Cancellations:
Should a cancellation arise, the client should immediately inform The Village Garden in writing.
A percentage of the invoice total will be charged for the below cancellations.

10% - One month prior to booking.

50% - Two weeks prior to booking.

75% - One week prior to booking.
-
100% - 6 days or less prior to booking.
There is an option to postpone the event but this can not be guaranteed as this is subject to availability.
Outside Catering & Drinks:

No outside catering or drinks are allowed to be brought in. (except cakes)

All catering requirements to be discussed and arranged with The Village Garden Restaurant only.
Dietary Requirements & Allergies:

Allergies and dietary requirements should be discussed with the restaurants two working days in advance.
Venues/Spaces For Hire:

The Client will be granted access to the facilities in a fit state and will be responsible for returning the facility in the same condition. Failure to do so will result in a charge of the Client.

Any breakage that occurs during the duration of the booking will be charged additionally to the client.

The Village Garden does not provide decor services but outsources from a few reliable vendors with whom the client liases directly. ● The client is welcome to bring in your own decor

Decor Penalties:
Any balloon(s) found in fish ponds or in trees will result in an immediate penalty of N$500.
Any confetti/glitter found in the space will result in an immediate penalty of N$1000
